Earlier today, Sova gameplay was released by Riot and showcases his abilities in Valorant. Sova’s ability kit centers around recon and precision. If you’re someone who enjoys sniping, he may just be your pick. Here’s a look into all Sova’s abilities.
- Shock Bolt (Not Pictured) – Fire an explosive bolt that emits a damaging pulse of static energy upon impact.
- Owl Drone (Pictured Above) – Deploy a pilotable drone that can fire a dart that will Reveal enemies who are hit.
The bars on the drone appear to signal the health, ammunition and time available. The drone expires after a certain duration, or after it is shot down.
- Signature Ability: Recon Bolt – Fire a bolt that deploys a sonar emitter. The sonar pings tag nearby enemies, causing them to be revealed. Can be destroyed.
- Ultimate: Hunter’s Fury (Not Pictured) – Fire up to three deadly energy blasts that spear across the entire map. Each hit enemy takes heavy damage and is marked.
Due to his ability set, we recommend Sova for players who are more familiar with passive play. If you’re looking for a character that’s useful in clutch situations or a character to hit sniper clips with, Sova is your pick.
Utility, Utility, Utility
While seeing players through walls seems overpowered, its worth mentioning that Sova’s abilities are mostly recon based. His kit in comparison to other agents is less lethal. While considering an agent to main, its best to keep in mind that Sova’s gameplay will require more patience over other agents. Players from games like Rainbow Six Siege may levitate towards Sova because of his drone, which can also mark enemies when tagged, similar to the drone system in Siege.
